I am so glad for this website and to be able to research previous messages about this topic. I have been the same weight (225 for over a week). I am going to try to not freak out about this because I am down 60 pounds. Now earlier this week I was at Dressbarn and I tried on a size 18 skirt and to my surprise it fit. Right now I am wearing big clothes basically because that what I have in my closet. I know the size 20 pants fit me.
But I remembered when I was having some issues in July I took my measurements and today I took them again. OMG what a difference! Holy crap there is only 7 pounds between now and back in July with most of these inches lost from my lower half. So this morning back up in the attic I was looking for my old size 18 clothes. All the pants fit so now I have some laundry to do. Unfortunately this is the smallest size I was with RNY so if I get any smaller I will need to buy clothes.
Fluctuations or stalls, I need to learn to deal with this. Funny I have patience when it comes to my students. Patience with myself is another matter all together.....

A week is not a stall. just sayin... go a month without any loss, ok, maybe a stall. Try adjusting something in your diet to be higher or lower, higher if on the low side, lower if on the highside. (carbs, proteins, fats). Don't make wholesale changes, just one thing at a time for a week and see if you see movement on the scale. Some people are stair steppers, It was common for me to lose nothing for a week, then 4 pounds in a few days, then nothing for a week again.

Well you've come a long way already if you can face this with a candid, honest approach! You know that a lot of the stress you are facing right now is related to the revision process, and moving past this bermuda triangle weight range zone. It's hard when we have lost and regained so many times, including even with a bariatric surgery in the process. I empathize with the relief you will feel once you are away and distanced from 200, it will finally be new terrain, uncharted territory that reassures you this second procedure is actually working. You WILL get past this. You are now going to see how your body reacts to constructive weight loss, not the diet manipulation we were capable of, and not a bariatric procedure that didn't address the issue. Taking your measurments, tuning into the many joys of weight loss - NSVs! - is how we learn that we are not just a body, a number on a scale. Keep doing what you are doing, stair-stepper loss is normal, you are lighter and have less to lose so it does go slower - remember for us, particularly who have been at this rodeo before - this is about keeping the weight off. That's important for everyone of course, but for people like us who know how to diet, how to eat, how to lose, and yet, the weight came back time and gain, I can tell you that the biggest gift I have gotten from my DS revision is the metabolic reset, the closest to a level playing field I've ever known. It is liberating and freeing. Eye on the prize!

WHOA, Cindy, you're at a 60 pound loss! That's fantastic. I'm really impressed... Here's the way I'm looking at it, we've lost a lot (well, I haven't lost near 60 but I consider it a lot since surgery), if we kept going at this pace, we would disappear! LOL I didn't lose anything for a week or two, now I'm down 4 pounds in about three days. We must have been thinking alike today because I also tried on a bunch of clothes. I'm so excited to be wearing a beautiful top that didn't fit me and a mini skirt (that's actually loose) that hadn't been worn before to go out with my husband for our anniversary. We decided on going to walk the trails at Barnegat Lighthouse then go out for seafood. Melting Pot is definitely on our list for the future, maybe when I hit the 50 pound mark! Congrats on the inches gone and fitting into those clothes!!

Thank you. This is definitely a learning experience. I keep wanting to increase the protein, but sometimes I am just not hungry. I get my fluids in and I think the protein has to increase. The heartburn was minimal yesterday so I think I need to take my pills slower and avoid caffeine for today. I will get through this.
Some hiking at the Barnegat Lighthouse - good choice! Someday I will get to the Melting Pot. It would not be a place for my husband. He is not that adventurous and is all meat and potatoes. Dipping vegetables and meats into cheese and other sauces would not be his cup of tea. But we have a few up here and I might be able to get some friends for a happy hour.(Once I am feeling "normal") again.
I want to go to the fish market later and buy something for dinner tonight. Maybe open my pinterest and look for low carb recipes.
I am finally painting our bedroom. Last night I emptied the room and we did some spackling. I can not wait to get the new color on the walls.

I'm gonna say this for the benefit of ALL NEWBIES on this board. Fluids and Protein are NON NEGOTIABLE. It doesn't matter if your hungry or not. if you have room, you should be drinking, or eating protein. That's the only way your going to get in the needed amounts.
Look at it as a blessing that your not hungry, not a deterrent from eating what your body requires. Eat to LIVE now, not live to EAT.
It's a weird change, I know. going from hating that your hungry all the time, to hating that your NOT hungry.. Forget hungry. Eat because you have to, not because you want to.
