1. I went to the hairdresser. The cover up coat FIT and BUTTONED, even when I was sitting. 2. Went to have an EGD. The regular size hospital gown FIT and TIED and covered my butt. 3. Went shopping- fit in to EVERY size 20 I put on and then had to go DOWN! HA! 4. Handed over my driver's license. The dude said, "This is NOT you!" Ha ha! 5. I've been wearing flip flops all summer. Getting ready to go back to work (I'm a school administrator). Was cleaning out my shoe rack AND MY SHOOES DON'T FIT- like they are falling off- like they cannot be worn! HA HA HA!!! Who knew my FEET were obese??? 6. My daughter asked me if I wanted to borrow some of her cool clothes now (she's 13!).
SO HAPPY and I'm only 1/2 way done. It is beyond my comprehension that I can be MORE comfortable and that I can even thinner!!!
Horray!!

This is great stuff!! I remember when most of these things happened to me, even the hair dresser gown thing. For years my stylist wouldn't offer me a gown. I think she knew. I remember one day being in her chair and thinking something was different. I could see white around my hips while sitting in the chair. Then I realized that the chair had an open back, and what I was seeing was the floor. I just didn't touch the sides of the chair any more! I remember saying "Vicki! I can see the floor from the sides of my chair!" She laughed, but it was that trip we both decided it was about time I use the gown And the shoes - oh yes. I went from a 10 to an 8 1/2. I remember feeling happy, but also a bit "lost". When I was in the rapid weight loss phase it hit me that EVERYTHING I owned for clothing would have to go. Clothes, underwear, bras, PJ's, even shoes. It was thrilling, but a bit frightening, too, when I thought about it like that. I had a hard time parting with my things.

Oh bot me- I throw out everything that doesn't fit. Well, I don't throw it out but I give it away. But I have no problem getting rid of it. I literally have 1 bra though and I'm pretty low on shoes now... the bank account is dwindling!! I did sign up for Gwynnie Bee as someone here suggested, so I can send back clothes that are too big!

Love all of these, great posting list of NSVs! I remember the first time I got my nails done. I know plenty of people in their bigger days who did all the girly stuff, shopping, lots of accessories, hair done, nails...but not me. Minimally, had way to put myself together so I felt 'normal' and didn't 'stand out' but otherwise never fussed, experimented. It has been SO FUN. I love thrift/Goodwill shopping too, now, things fit!

You know, now that I think of it, the cape the hairdresser puts on me has always been really tight around the neck. I think it may be time for a haircut!
