Ok I just learned what a FUPA is. I have one but never heard the term until yesterday. My husband and his friend were making fun of them and it hurt my feelings a little. He swears he didn't realize I had one...oh well. ANYWAY, did any of you lose yours without needing a body lift or apron removal?

Only plastic surgery will fix it, I'm sorry to say.

No - do google image search it. It's a reality for many people after massive weight loss. Might as well be aware of what may happen. And let's not make people feel any worse than they already do about parts of their bodies. Thanks.

Plastic surgery.
Our bodies change when we're morbidly obese. When you lose a massive amount of weight you'll learn and see things you never realized before. But it's not reasonable to expect our bodies to be as if we were never MO. I realize you're not expecting this, so just saying in more of a general way.
When I lost 150 pounds, the "F" part was gone. It wasn't fat, but it was certainly a big roll of excess skin. I had plastics. Everyone will make their own decision about plastics. For some it is just more important than for others. Some people have the time and means, some people find a way however they can, and some can care less. I thought I would be in the "could care less" camp, but my feelings changed.
Short answer is though, yes. I agree with NYB. I went from FUPA to excess skin I could roll up there, to fixing it (along with other things) with plastics.

Went for the plastics to get rid of all the excess skin. Be sure to address a pubic lift with the surgeon. It may not come with the panniculectomy.

I wouldn't call it my upper pubic area but the lower pubic area is the last place I am losing.
