Hi everyone,
I posted a couple of months ago about my horrid PTH levels. Well, I took the advice given here. I took 6 batches of K2 a day with my calcium. My pth is now perfect. I feel a lot better. Now, here's my question....what do I cut my K2 down to a day?
Thanks,
Jenn

Jenn, it's good to hear this good news! I went back and read your original thread about this, you've been through a lot and I'm so sorry weightlosssurgery.proboards.com/thread/8598/parathyroidHow to handle your K2 from here is out of my realm but I wanted to say 'hey' and wish you well, others will come 'round who were able to help before.

Thanks, girl rocker! I can't tell you how much better I feel physically and mentally since the pth has returned to normal. So glad I came here to get help!

Yay! So glad those adjustments worked! I remember you asking about it some time back. You were having a rough go of things. Drop by anytime.

Terrific!
Are your PTH levels on the high (low) end of normal? When are you scheduled to be tested again?
What got you to where you are might end up being what you need to continue to do to stay there.
Only your next set of labs will tell you that.

I'm guessing you do 6x150mcg. I'm currently doing 4 batches and that's working well for me, but you need to adjust according to your own labs, so you may need to stay on 6 batches. Experiment and get re-tested in 3 months. PTH seems to be quite responsive over such a short period of time.

My pth is at 4.6 right now which is the higher end of normal. I'm gonna keep my vitamin k2(150mcg each) at 6 batches for now until I test again in 3 months.

Good idea. You'll know at your next set of labs if you are taking too much of anything and can scale down then if you are.
Meanwhile, it IS working and you are back in a normal range. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
