I can tell spring is on it's way... My sinuses are acting up. I used to buy the OTC Mucinex D. However, it is extended release, which is not going to work well with my DS, correct? Any suggestions as to what works for anyone else? I need non-drowsy for day but can take meds that cause drowsiness at night. Thank you.

No idea if it is extended release or not, but Sudafed for Sinus non-drowsy formula worked wonders for me.
Extended release or not, try what has always worked for you before when you are home and don't have to leave.
It can be difficult to find these kinds of OTC meds that aren't extended release.

I also like Sudafed. Another line I've used are any of the Tylenol products. Those aren't extended release.
Anything that is 12 hours or less should work OK. It's the 24-hour ones that probably won't work too good.
It's all about trial and error.

My last sinus infection was a doozy- I did take Mucinex but broke it in half. Not sure if it worked. Ended up with steroids, anyway.

I take generic Claritin and it seems to work fine for me. I know Walmart has generic ones that work great...Equate is the brand and all you need to do is look at the ingredients and see which one has the same ingredient as Claritin.
Hope you feel better soon...I live i10 minutes from Allergy Country...Austin, Tx..they are awful down here.
