i haven't read all of the responses, so forgive me if you've heard this. i would do 2 things. first, stop discussing it with them - do not bring it up, ever. secondly, i would say the same sentence over and over, "The issue has been decided and I don't care for it to be discussed any more, with or without me present." Every time the subject is brought up, say this. If the conversation persists, walk away. Next time, repeat.

I was beyond seeking approval or blessings from family/friends. DS affected my relationship with my work colleagues far more significantly than with any of my family/friends. Basically, I don't give a S#!+. Family has seen the positive changes and all is good. I now have another job.
