One day at the time. My "ulcer diet" is working. Lost another 2 lbs. Back to size 6 jeans... Not the best way to lose weight.. but fast. When you can't eat even when you want to.

So far, so good this week. The scale is inching back down. I'll update my ticker on Monday. My husband ate my boiled eggs, so I substituted some leftover moussaka for breakfast today. Otherwise, everything was pretty much the same. I ate some cottage cheese and a banana for lunch. I'll have a small bowl of vegetable soup in a little while so I won't be starved when I get home from work.

I started back on tracking my food and exercise on January 9. As of today, I've lost 10 of my 22lb regain.

I started seriously working on my regain before Thanksgiving 2011. My lowest was 128, I had climbed to 146. My surgeon's goal is 136. Yesterday I was 135.5.
Some of the things that helped and I don't recommend the first. I brokeup with a long term boyfriend after he cheated on me. That left me crying, sad, lonely and unable to eat.
I discovered Quest Protein bars and use at least once a day as a meal.
I quit drinking Coke Zero and replaced it with water.
I weigh every day and keep the figure in mind all day. Not weighing and not thinking about my weight kept me in denial. Being in a relationship where I felt loved and secure helped me to stay in denial too. Ignoring the scale and ignoring the signs of cheating both were not healthy.
On New Years Day, I faced the truth about my boyfriend and about my weight gain. Both were painful. I needed to do both in order to regain my physical and emotional health. I miss my old food and my boyfriend. I am finding healthy replacements for the food and hope someday to find a healthy replacement for him.
