At lunch today I had salt and pepper shrimp, chicken broth with scallions, bacon wrapped shrimp, two coconut shrimp, and a few bites of salmon. Dinner was velveeta Rotel dip, mild and pork rinds. Working on my water.

I have managed to get in my morning, mid-day and evening vites ok...breakfast was a small maybe 1/2 oz. steak and 1 scrambled egg, 1 c greek yogurt w/ a packet of splenda and sugar free caramel torani syrup w/ nuts for snack and a ton of OJ (still not feeling well and have no real appetite)...will have a protein shake and for dinner we are having sun dried basil and tomato crusted talapia...sounds delish...hope it taste as great. Why are you drinking all those carbs, with acid no less? I'd be rolling on the floor in agony. It's all that has been tasting good and quite honestly I am still trying to wrap my head around the sugar/carb connection, as for the acid no adverse effects maybe because I drink it over ice...I have switched to water tonight w/ sugar free Arizona tea packets for flavor and it tastes pretty great...managed to have in stages 1 1/2 Tilapia fillets through out the evening...and now waiting to take the last of my vites and then a protein shake before bed...I am also going to start packing a lunch in the mornings to take to the office with plenty of protein...why must carbs be our enemies...I miss them so

Why are you drinking all those carbs, with acid no less? I'd be rolling on the floor in agony. It's all that has been tasting good and quite honestly I am still trying to wrap my head around the sugar/carb connection, as for the acid no adverse effects maybe because I drink it over ice...I have switched to water tonight w/ sugar free Arizona tea packets for flavor and it tastes pretty great...managed to have in stages 1 1/2 Tilapia fillets through out the evening...and now waiting to take the last of my vites and then a protein shake before bed...I am also going to start packing a lunch in the mornings to take to the office with plenty of protein...why must carbs be our enemies...I miss them so Get the caloric beverages out of your life or you will NOT LOSE YOUR WEIGHT. And yes, you must plan your food for the day or the carbs will sneak in and take over your life. Ditto with your supplements. Put a supply of your daytime things in your bag or at the office. For me it's currently the calcium supply and a bottle of sublingual vitamin D. They have to live in my bag or I won't take enough of them.

Ok...got in the AM, Midday and evening vites...not sure how quickly they would start working, but I feel great already after only 3 days or maybe its psychological...I had a protein coffee for breakfast, my a.m. snack was 2 pieces of babybel cheese, lunch was 2 turkey and provolone rolls and my pm snack was 1 oz of teriyaki jerky...I am 1/2 way thru my 2nd bottle of water...I am having friends over for dinner they are having lasagna, salad and bread sticks for dinner and I am having a mini meatloaf with cheese...yummy, not counting my mini meat loaf I am at 73g of protein for the day w/ only 11 carbs total...not shabby, but lord I dislike food, eating and the thought of it!!!!

Today I had: 2 boiled eggs 2 cheese sticks 4 oz chicken covered in rotel with one of those wholly guacamole snack packs and pork rinds and 1 plum 2 chicken thighs, 2 chicken legs from KFC 1 avocado seasoned with vinegar/salt/pepper 1/2 cup squash casserole 1 cup milk with instant coffee/ sugar free carmel syrup Iced tea All 101 oz of water. 3 tbsp lemon juice in 1 qt of it.
No shake yet. Guess I will go do that...

Great job on the fluids!! Bummer on the mini meatloaf. Y'know, a LOT of people, self included, have issues with ground meat, sometimes for the long term. I'm coming up on 6 years and it can still happen. In fact I gave myself a bellyache yesterday on a mini meatloaf.

ok, got in morning, noon and evening vites no problem...my appetite and belly today are not cooperating with me so much today...I am eating just not near where I'd like to be...I have had 1 PREMIUM NUTRITION PROTEIN SHAKE, 1/2 CUP OF SUNFLOWER SEEDS, 1/4 OF A CHICKEN CLUB SALAD...NO CROUTONS AND FOR PM SNACK 1 LEFT OVER TILAPIA FILLET, BUT I AM ONLY AT 72G PROTEIN TODAY @ 5:30PM...I STILL HAVE TO EAT DINNER AND WILL DRINK 1 MORE PROTEIN SHAKE BEFORE BED, MY CARB INTAKE IS AT 21G, BUT FLUIDS ARE AT MAYBE 50 OZ TODAY AND DID I MENTION I AM HAVING TROUBLES POOPING!!!

8 oz mozzerella cheese, 1 chicken leg, 1 chicken thigh, 1 avocado, 4 oz ground meat, 3 oz chicken breast, 2-3 tbsp cheddar cheese. Jack in the box Ultimate Cheeseburger half bun, Pork skins. Almost all water. Tea with splenda. Need to get the rest in soon. Goodness, I am not thirsty.
Edited to add 1/4 cup granola: really half a hand full. and 3 Werthers candies.

Try sneaking bits in here and there, like some vegetable oil (like olive oil) in your protein drink. That's often better tolerated than heavy cream, for example. You might try putting some guacamole on your meat, too. I pigged out on a cucumber-onion salad last night and have cranky belly this morning. Even six years out I have an upper limit for cukes and onions *blargh*.

I got in my morning and mid day vites...no problem, after drinking a drink called CALM and taking 4 stool softners...no more constipation...treated myself to Starbucks this morning...a Venti Chai Tea Latte made with heavy cream actually stayed down alright...however...56 carbs (OUCH) way behind in my protein count for the day now...trying not to beat myself up to bad over it, ate 1 oz of jerky for AM snack and had 1/4 c. tomato bisque soup for lunch w/ a left over chicken thigh for lunch...back to the grind for now...will update you all later!!!!

@ EN no I go back to see Dr K on Monday exactly 6 months since surgery and see what he says...I haven't been on any acid reflux meds or anything since about a month out either...
Took it kinda easy today too...All my vites in so far...protein shake for breakfast...2 - 16.9 oz bottles of water, about 2 oz. of an Italiian Mix salad from Trader Joe's (cheese, salami, garbanzo beans, lettuce and parmesan dijon dressing) for lunch and 2 tblsp. peanut butter for snack and 1 sm. piece of pizza (eaten really slowly) for dinner and will try night time protein shake for bedtime snack...will put me about 100 g of protein for the day...low on the fluids though.

My nausea is in the morning and evening...but I only seem to puke at night...I kept dinner down last night but woke up about midnight or do and threw up and it was very sour and acidic

Have you elevated the head of your bed? More pillows won't work. You have to actually raise the bed, like a couple bricks's worth under the bedposts.

SO, I did not take my vites today as I think they may be contributing to my constipation issues and I want to discuss them with Dr. Keshishian tomorrow at my appointment, I drank some Miralax this afternoon, for breakfast I had 4 pieces of maple cured bacon, lunch was a bit of Jo's Pork Casserole (yumm...my whole family loved it)...I had a single serving carmel dulce de leche ice cream w/ full fat and then a hot chocolate made with heavy whiping cream all in an effort to have a BM...I hope I can get some answers and relief soon

Ask Dr. K. about that. He'll probably ask you a series of questions to determine whether your symptoms genuinely raise that suspicion, and then maybe recommend some testing if he thinks it might be an issue. Just throwing more thoughts out there to consider. Are you making your protein drinks with heavy cream? (As much as you can tolerate that is...) And did you puke last night?

I ate a large, zillion carb buttercream-frosted ginger molasses cookie when I went to the bakery over the weekend to pick up cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party.
Worse, I attempted to justify this bad behavior to myself using the warped reasoning that I would end up paying penance later on via suffering with gastro-intestinal discomfort and that this would lead to a beneficial future deterrent effect. Alas, I felt no distress whatsoever. Further, the number on the scale still moved downward post-transgression.
It is a slippery slope and I will not slide down it. Therefore, I declare myself to lack willpower and be unfit to be trusted in the proximity of purveyors of baked goods. I will therefore pass all kiddie party confection retrieval duties on to my dear husband, who is far more likely to avoid temptation.
And now back to my regularly scheduled protein program.

Had a loooonnnng day yesterday with the trip to Dr Keshishian...didn't eat a whole lot...got in a lot of water...1/2 of an In-n-Out Cheeseburger and I small slice of meat lovers pizza w/ 1 hot wing is the only food I got in (no vites). Today wasn't much better...(no vites again) puney stomach...1 chicken strip and 1 nacho supreme for dinner...yuck!!!

I got all my vites (not taking the calcium yet) in on time today. got 56 oz of water in, and 60 g of protein in. This has been my best day since surgery ( 3 weeks ago).
I got my protien in with no shakes today. ALL FOOD.

All vites through the evening in...ate Some Jerky for breakfast, followed with a Protein Coffee mid morning, then some chicken and black beans for lunch, with lots of water and then for dinner about 2.5 oz top sirloin...with another protein shake before bed.
