So I am 4 weeks post-op and I have only had one day where I have gotten all my vitamins in and its not for a lack of having the room, but a lacking trying a discipline. It is just not become a habit. I need some accountability. Is there someone who I can pm every night to say, Hey I got them in. I know the ramifications if I don't get this under control. I don't want to die.
Major Mom (Gina) posts a Vites, Bites, and exercise thread most days. I do not post but I read it and it does seem to help with accountability. If you do not see that thread you could always start one . It might be easier than relying on one person.
At 4 weeks post-op the vitamin regime will come. Do you have a smart phone or something with an alarm? I did that at the very beginning until it finally became habit. Three times a day (at least that's what I do).
Now vitamins are part of my life, and it will be like that for you (eventually).
Baby Girl, you're only 4 weeks out. Cut yourself some slack. You might just be lacking an attractive way to carry them with you, a snappy way to remind yourself to take them, or some other motivation. What were your labs? There's nothing like your first set of labs to inspire you to pop your vites.
Personally, I just like popping pills. But I'm wierd.

I'll be 5 weeks post-op tomorrow & I still can't swallow some of the larger pills due to esophageal & gastric spasms. I'm taking 2 multis, iron, calcium (BA chewy bites), ADEK, B12, & C every day. I'll add in the rest of Vitalady's list as I'm able, hopefully over the next 3-4 weeks.
If you want a DS, don't be surprised if you have to fight for it. It took me a year, but I finally won!
