What is SSMO? I think that is what I have seen several times and have said, WTH is this?

Yes, that's correct. It's not a truly official term, but when you see it, you can think of maybe BMI over 60 or thereabouts. Some published articles talk about very extreme obesity or super morbid obesity as a BMI of 50 or higher.

You'd fall into the morbidly obese/extreme obesity category. The docs aren't allowed to use FatAss in their publications, as AMA and APA frown on such realistic language.... (I'm working on a lit review of a bunch of WLS related studies at the moment and am a little tired of the high-falutin' language.)
